Dr. Guang Xu is a globally recognized expert in mine ventilation, air quality control, and fire safety. His research focuses on advancing safety and environmental standards in mining operations through through innovative material design, experimental optimization, simulation, and AI modeling. Over his career, he has successfully secured substantial research funding, with over $2 million support from federal agencies such as NIOSH, NSF, and EPA, as well as industry leaders like BHP and Caterpillar. With a prolific research record, Dr. Xu has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles, amassing more than 3,190 citations and achieving an h-index of 34. His research group also actively collaborates with industry partners, offering specialized training and testing services to enhance workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
Dr. Xu is a passionate and accomplished educator with over a decade of teaching experience in Australia and the United States.
